らーめん鶴武者

Tsurumusha was awarded a Tabelog Top 100 ranking for West Japan. This will always put a shop on my list, and I’ll try to visit when I’m next in town.

Creamy tori paitan made with the addition of pork bones and vegetables.

Noodles are made in-house with wheat from Hokkaido and Kyoto. All-in-all a fairly standard bowl. Competition for creamy tori paitan is fierce in Kyoto. The northern part of town near the university is credited with creating the official Kyoto-style, creamy chicken ramen that lies somewhere between Hakata and Tokyo in flavors and presentation.

Kyoto, sans-tourism, has become one of my favorite cities in Japan.
