ぷれじでんと

President is one of the latest from the Koike group. These are the guys that brought your Koike, Nishino, and King Seimen. By the time you read this, they’ve probably opened something new. Everything they do is on point. Clean soup with gorgeous toppings. Each shop has a slightly different concept, and President is no different. In this case, the bite-sized gyoza is something new.

A quick note. As of writing this in mid-2022, they are closed. Their Twitter page indicates that it might be temporary, but that last tweet was half a year ago.

The upper left is a set with gyoza, rice, and a half bowl of ramen. I’ll save the rice for my sushi and go for the 1320 yen ramen and gyoza. There are also gyoza-only options, as President bills itself equally as a ramen shop and a gyoza shop.

Shio, tantanmen, and suratan hot and sour styles.

I’m in the mood for shio.

A gorgeous bowl. Low temperature cooked, thinly sliced chashu on top and a refreshing salty broth for those noodles.

The gyoza with different dipping sauces is a standard order for most customers.

Oh! A hidden tsukune chicken meatball!

As expected, another stellar bowl. I still rank King Seimen at the top, with their homemade noodles and crazy nice wantans. That said, anything these Koike ramen dudes touch turns to gold.

Still reading? Did you know that I released a ramen cookbook? It’s available wherever fine cookbooks are sold, aka Amazon. Can’t wait to see what recipes you come up with!
