The Best 50 Restaurants (all genre, mostly washoku) in Japan.

Tabelog, Japan’s most popular online restaurant listing, recently released a curated list of the 50 best in Japan. You may recall that I recently wrote about their 50 best ramen, a post that can be seen here. Well, I’m almost finished with the ramen list, which means I am almost finished with ramen. I’m happy to announce that Ramen Adventures will now become Washoku-Michelin-Kaiseki Adventures, a foray into the extensive world of Japan’s epicurean depths. Instead of two ramen reviews a week, I’ll be writing about two high-end gastronomical destinations.

At an average of $300 a head for these places, this is going to be quite an endeavor. Luckily, my local yakuza loan shop was happy to give me enough to cover the expense.
