Kanadaya is quite the famous spot. Their main shop is very, very far from central Hakata, so it came as a surprise when they opened a branch right in downtown.

Kanadaya is famous, in part, for their expansion abroad. Two shops have been opened in London, and one in Hong Kong.

The shop’s creamy white tonkotsu ramen with beautiful chashu is the way to go. Actually, apart from some gyoza on the side, it’s the only way to go.

The big Xs mean they were sold out of extra chashu. We literally showed up minutes before closing, so that’s to be expected.

Good stuff. I think their main shop, an hour or so drive from central Hakata, was a bit creamier, but if time and distance is an issue, this one is a good choice.
