Sorry, ya’ll, but this shop closed in 2022. It was also my second time visiting. Enjoy a short writeup though.

The menu at Kasumanikakeru is all over the place. Shellfish ramen with shio or shoyu, cold choices, and a few mazesoba bowls. Half of the menu is toppings galore. This was during the height of COVID-19, so drinks weren’t being sold, but you could get those outside of those forgettable years.

Gentei mitaina (限定みたいな). I thought I ordered the shio mazesoba. Why does my ticket say, “It looks something like a limited offering.”

It turns out each ticket has some goofy name.

The shop was opened in April, 2011. Their full name is Fusuma ni Kakero Nakazaki Iccho Nakazaki Shotenkai 1-6-18 Ramen, which is just their address. Classic Osaka craziness.

The concept is niboshi and Italian.

Often in Japan, simply throwing some red tomatoes and green vegetables can make something “Italian” in a sense. I won’t judge. It was a fun bowl.

Noodles are from a famous Kyoto noodle maker by the name of Teigaku (麺は麺屋棣鄂).

This area of Osaka, just east of Umeda, was always lively and fun. There are endless restaurants and bars, so the loss of one good ramen shop won’t really ruin anyone’s vacation. It’s a shame though, I would have liked to try their regular shio ramen. I don’t have a photo, but the whole thing was topped by a massive sheet of nori seaweed, meant to trap in the aroma.

It looks like the master, or at least whoever runs their Twitter page, has moved over to Ibukurowashizukami (イ袋ワシづかみ), a newly opened shop on the other side of town. I visited this shop recently, but since these writeups are over a year behind, don’t hold your breath. Hopefully, they won’t be closed by the time I get around to it.
