A ramen-slurping friend and his daughter were in town, and she (the daughter) had been looking forward to crushing something great with her honorary jiu-jiu all week.

Then this happened.

We just missed it. We salvaged the ramen adventure by going to a local unknown, but in my heart I was really hoping to try Kintoki.

So I came back!

Oh man, I’m glad I came back. This is chicken ramen kicked up to the highest level.

The shop’s name can be translated as golden time, and that is exactly what this one was. A golden bowl of chicken soup, touched with some amazing chicken oil, a deep flavor profile, and some solid toppings.
